We booked the Clock Tower Hotel, Exeter because we needed to stay overnight in Exeter before another trip. We could have chosen airport hotel, but decided that a city centre hotel would suit our needs better. Arriving in Exeter, St.David's by train and walking to the hotel proved strenuous, to be fair it's not far in distance terms, but there is a steep hill to negotiate. Barrier Island Sanctuary, Florida
Barrier Island Sanctuary Land Management and Education Center is located in Brevard County, Florida, placed in heart of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge in South Melbourne Beach. It's an purpose-built information centre about sea turtles and the marine environment. Those on a budget will be glad to hear that entry is free, so it's easy to pop in for a few minutes or return if you are based in the area. Treasure Coast, Florida
We visited the Treasure Coast earlier this year and it's a really beautiful place to visit. There's that name though, how did it get to be called the Treasure Coast? The answer can be found at the McLarty Treasure Museum (located at Sebastian Inlet State Park). It doesn't cost a fortune at only $2 a person and under 6s are free. Visiting Kennedy Space Center
We loved Kennedy Space Center and it was easily the best value, most interesting attraction we went to (we went to Disney, Universal and Legoland too, so there was competition). My son and my husband are very interested in space, but me not so much so. Even I enjoyed it and learnt a lot, so this is somewhere highly recommended. Seeing A Space Center Rocket Launch
Make your visit to the Kennedy Space Center count by going on a day when a rocket launch is scheduled or if you are staying fairly close you can still see the rocket go up from elsewhere. Check the launch schedule here to find out when the next rocket launch is due. You can get the best view at the space centre, but not all launches are watchable from there.
